Yana Wilson lands Transcend Capital Advisors NIL deal

In the NIL Era, the spotlight has mainly been on football and basketball stars. However, businesses that understand the power of name, image, and likeness as a marketing tool are now turning their attention to rising stars in other sports. The recent partnership between Transcend Capital Advisors and Yana Wilson is a perfect example of this.

Wilson is a highly promising figure in the world of golf.

She recently triumphed at the AJCA Girls Invitational and finished as the runner-up at the 2023 Junior PGA Championship. Earlier this summer, she emerged as the amateur division winner at the LPGA’s Mizuho Americas Open and finished as the runner-up at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship.

Prior to these achievements, Wilson emerged as the champion of the 2022 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, which earned her a spot in the U.S. Women’s Open. She has also won the Drive, Chip & Putt age-group championship twice. Wilson has represented Team USA in both the PING Junior Solheim Cup and the Junior Ryder Cup Team. In 2021, she reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Girls’ Junior, losing to eventual champion and current world No. 1, Rose Zhang.

As early as the age of 15, Wilson had already won over 100 tournaments, including becoming the youngest winner of the Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Bell Tournament at the age of 14.

Although Wilson is committed to playing college golf at Oregon, it was a smart move for Transcend to partner with her at this stage of her career through the NIL platform. It is clear that she has a bright and successful professional career ahead of her.

“I am truly grateful to Transcend for recognizing my potential,” Wilson expressed in a news release. “I am honored and thrilled to be a part of Team Transcend. This support will allow me to focus on my game and strive for excellence both on and off the golf course.”

Yana Wilson is building a strong NIL resume

Although Wilson is still working on building a strong social media presence, she has already promoted Nike, Taylor Made, and Polo Ralph Lauren on her accounts. She has also signed with WME Sports for representation.

As a division of Endeavor, WME boasts an extensive list of clients in tennis and golf.

WME has established a strong roster of NIL talents, with LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne leading the way. Dunne currently boasts 7.5 million TikTok followers and an additional 4.5 million on Instagram. She has become a priority for various brands and has secured endorsement deals with American Eagle and Body Armor.

Recognizing the value of NIL, WME has invested time and resources to form a team dedicated to identifying and facilitating partnerships for its college athletes. The team is headed by Garrett Yaralian and Jason Rosenberg.

With her representation and rising stardom, it wouldn’t be surprising if Wilson attracts more deals beyond her collaboration with Transcend.

“We are proud to support Yana on her journey to golf greatness,” stated Brian Gorczynski, managing partner of Transcend. “We admire Yana’s determination, work ethic, and commitment to excellence. We are thrilled to welcome her as the first female member of Team Transcend.”
