Chris Christie, the former New Jersey Gov, knows how to handle insults, but his kids take it a little harder. Christie shared with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto that his kids get upset when former President Donald Trump describes their dad as a “fat pig.”
Christie’s political ambitions to prevent Trump from being reelected are personal to his children, who are hurt by the insults. “My children hate it. Especially because we’re been friends with Donald Trump for over 20 years … we’ve been to his home a number of times … it just shows you he’s lost it,” Christie stated of his children’s feelings.

Christie’s public stance against Trump continues despite having previously supported him in previous elections. However, his efforts aren’t gaining much political support as polling indicates Trump leads the field with 61.1% of the vote, while Christie is only supported by 2.5% of Republicans, according to RealClearPolitics.
