Starting with the Myrtle Beach Bowl on Dec. 16 and leading up to the College Football Playoff national championship on Jan. 8, a total of 42 postseason games will be played. We’ve taken it upon ourselves to rank all 41 bowl games, excluding the national title game, so you know which matchups to look out for. 41. Quick Lane Bowl (Dec. 26, 2 p.m., ESPN)
Minnesota is the only sub-.500 team in a bowl game, making it an intriguing matchup. The Gophers are motivated, despite the absence of QB Athan Kaliakmanis, who recently entered the transfer portal. Meanwhile, Bowling Green won five of its last six games to secure their bowl eligibility.
40. Boca Raton Bowl (Dec. 21, 8 p.m., ESPN)
Under first-year coach Alex Golesh, USF is returning to the bowls for the first time since 2018. Syracuse, on the other hand, will play under interim coach Nunzio Campanile after firing their previous coach. It’s sure to be an exciting game.
39. 68 Ventures Bowl (Dec. 23, 7 p.m., ESPN)
Get ready for an exciting bowl game as South Alabama hosts this year’s post-season action. The mighty Jaguars had a stunning 26-point win at Oklahoma State early in the season, setting the stage for a series of impressive wins. Who doesn’t love an underdog story?
38. Potato Bowl (Dec. 23, 3:30 p.m., ESPN)
This game is sure to be an emotional one as QB Levi Williams prepares for his final game before leaving to begin training to become a Navy SEAL. With Georgia State losing its last five games, both teams have something to prove.
