Araceli Torrado, former partner of Argentine tennis sensation David Nalbandian, has come forward with allegations of sexual harassment, stalking, and unauthorized entry.
Torrado, a prominent broadcaster, model, and influencer, claims that Nalbandian installed a hidden camera to spy on her at her residence. Nalbandian, a former world No.3 and a recipient of 11 ATP titles, vehemently denies these accusations, asserting that Torrado’s motives are driven by a desire for financial gain and public attention.
Torrado’s legal counsel contends that the harassment began following the couple’s breakup in April 2023, with Nalbandian allegedly persistently contacting Torrado and inquiring about security camera footage. Torrado subsequently discovered the concealed camera in her bedroom, discretely positioned behind a ventilation grille.
The camera, aimed at the bed, was later dismantled by the model’s brother. It was found to be connected to the internet, transmitting images to a mobile device.
Their relationship became public in February 2023, subsequent to Nalbandian’s separation from Victoria Bosch, his partner of 22 years.
Leaked recordings
Several recordings, made public by Federico Fahsbender and Olari Ugrotte on C5N, captured Torrado confronting Nalbandian for explanations.
“I am aware that you placed it there, regardless of how foolish you feel and your reluctance to confess,” she asserted.
Nalbandian’s response has sparked significant commentary in the Argentinean media.
“My concern is to reconcile with you, I want to figure out a way to make it right… Do you want me to be honest? Yes, I installed it that day,” he admitted.
“I couldn’t access the feed because of internet issues. I couldn’t see anything. Whether you are intimate with someone or not, that is your personal business, not for surveillance.”
