Clemson, S.C. — No. 15 Clemson men’s soccer (9-3-2,4-2-1 ACC) achieved a remarkable victory on senior night, defeating the Boston College Eagles (3-8-4, 0-5-2 ACC) with a resounding 6-0 score at Historic Riggs Field, their final regular season home game.

In an explosive first half, Alex Meinhard scored the opening goal in the 19th minute, followed by a penalty kick converted by Ousmane Sylla in the 22nd minute. Sylla then scored another goal at the 30th minute, and just minutes later, Nathan Richmond scored with an assist from Alex Meinhard, leaving the halftime score at 4-0. Boston College managed only one shot in the first half, compared to the Tigers’ 14.

Early in the second half, Meinhard struck again in the 50th minute, with Sylla providing the assist. Then, in the 61st minute, Sylla completed his first career hat trick, securing his third goal of the night and sealing the Tigers’ 6-0 victory on senior night.

Clemson’s impressive six-goal performance is their highest tally in an ACC game since October 19, 2019, when they defeated Syracuse 7-4. The Tigers finished the game with a total of 25 shots, while holding the Eagles to just two. Logan Brown made the Tigers’ only save late in the second half.
