Amid a chaotic week that marked the end of the Dino Babers era and the beginning of the search for a new coach, the Syracuse Orange rose above adversity and secured a spot in the 2023 bowl season.

Syracuse’s victory over Wake Forest with a score of 35-31 on Saturday propelled their win tally to six for the year, ending the season on a high note for the team and our Duke’s Mayo Bowl O’Meter. It has been quite a journey, but it was worth it: the Orange are bowling, and the Bowl O’Meter is reaching its peak excitement. Life is great.

The Orange’s consecutive bowl appearance is a feat not achieved since 2012 and 2013. This time, Syracuse aims to redeem last year’s loss in the Pinstripe Bowl. The big question now: which bowl game will they head to?

Bringing back memories of 2003! Although not a men’s basketball rematch or a trip to New Orleans, perhaps we can get Jim Boeheim to extend his media tour for the game.
