McCaffrey Continues Impressive Streak, Scores in 15th Consecutive Game
Christian McCaffrey showcases his skills with a shovel pass touchdown, extending his scoring streak in 15 straight games.
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey dodged a major injury and is expected to participate in the Monday night game against the Minnesota Vikings, according to insider sources at ESPN.
McCaffrey, who sustained an oblique/rib injury during the recent defeat against the Cleveland Browns, underwent an MRI on Monday to assess the damage.
San Francisco’s left tackle Trent Williams (right ankle) and wide receiver Deebo Samuel (shoulder) are also in contention to play on Monday, disclosed the sources. The final decision on player availability will be made over the next week.
Samuel exited Sunday’s game late in the first quarter due to his shoulder injury, whereas Williams toughed it out with his ankle sprain.
McCaffrey left the field in the third quarter but made a brief return in the fourth quarter, completing a 6-yard run before retreating to the sideline and eventually the locker room. He was officially ruled out early in the fourth quarter.
