Halloween is just around the corner, and Americans have been getting creative with their costumes. But for sports fans, one couple’s costume has taken the spotlight as the best of the year so far.
On Saturday night, Seattle-based comic Reece Green and Twitter user “alex” (@nothanksalex) went viral with their baseball-themed couples costume. Green dressed as former Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Randy Johnson, while Alex portrayed a bloodied bird. This costume references the infamous incident in 2001 when Johnson hit a bird mid-flight with one of his pitches during a spring training game against the San Francisco Giants.
