The projections are based on 50,000 simulations of the remainder of the season, factoring in each team’s projected strength, current health, and strength of schedule, which includes opponent strength, venue, and rest. Each team’s projected strength is determined by the projected value of the players on its roster, considering their Offensive and Defensive Rating.

2023-24 NHL team projected standings
Correction: An error was discovered with projected ice-time for four players (Sean Couturier, Cam Atkinson, Bobby Brink, and Alexandre Texier) who did not play in the 2022-23 season. The error negatively impacted the team projections for Philadelphia and Columbus. The issue has been resolved as of October 20.
