New York Team and Veteran Safety Adrian Amos Reach Mutual Agreement to Part Ways

Latest Jets Roster Moves – Dec. 2, 12:10 p.m.

The Jets have parted ways with veteran safety Adrian Amos, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Amos, 30, who signed a one-year deal with the team in June, played in all 11 games with limited snaps and has now been released. Ashtyn Davis is expected to take on a larger role in the secondary following Amos’s departure.

New York signed offensive lineman Xavier Newman to the active roster and released Chris Glaser. Gang Green also added offensive lineman Jake Hanson and defensive lineman Tanzel Smart from the practice squad. The moves coincide with the Jets activating offensive lineman Duane Brown.
