Nebraska soccer shuts out Minnesota 2-0

The Huskers kicked off their final week of the regular season with a trip to Minnesota. In a strong performance, Nebraska secured a 2-0 victory over the Golden Gophers, improving their record to 11-2-3.

Despite being outshot 16-10 by Minnesota, the Huskers showcased their defensive prowess by only allowing two shots on goal. Goalkeeper Sami Hauk made crucial saves to earn her fifth shutout of the season. Nebraska managed six shots on goal out of their ten total shots in the match.

Nebraska’s first goal was scored by Sarah Weber with her only shot on goal during the game. Weber had a total of two shots, with the second hitting the crossbar. The second goal was scored by Florence Belzile from an assist by Gwen Lane and Eleanor Dale.

Next, the Huskers will return home for their final home game of the season against Purdue on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. The match will be broadcasted on B1G+.
