Christian McCaffrey showed little generosity following the

49ers’ tough 22-17 loss

to the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium on Monday night.

Shortly after the 49ers’ second consecutive loss, McCaffrey engaged in a conversation with Vikings defensive lineman and former Stanford teammate Harrison Phillips on the field.

As Phillips began to remove his jersey in an attempt to exchange with McCaffrey, the 49ers star denied the gesture by shaking his head.

Despite the jersey swap rejection, the two former Cardinal players did share an embrace and posed for a photo before parting ways.

McCaffrey and Phillips were teammates at Stanford from 2014 to 2016.

McCaffrey, selected by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, finished the game with 45 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries,

extending his streak to 16 consecutive games, including the playoffs, with a scrimmage score
.
He also recorded three receptions for 51 yards and an additional touchdown.
