1 Lakeland’s defensive back Carlos Mitchell put on an impressive performance, breaking up three passes and recording five solo tackles, including one tackle for loss, in the team’s 21-20 victory over Gainesville Buchholz. Not only did he make a significant impact on defense, but he also drew a pair of defensive pass interference calls as the Bobcats struggled to contain his speed.

2 Winter Haven senior Isaac Celiscar had a remarkable performance in boys’ basketball, finishing with 25 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. He maintained an outstanding average of 20.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.5 steals in two games last week, demonstrating his consistency and talent on the court.

3 Lakeland Christian junior Alyssa Carroll made a significant contribution to the team’s success in girls’ soccer, scoring the only goal in the Vikings’ victory over McKeel, and adding two more goals in another game against Mulberry, bringing her total to four goals and one assist for the season.

4 Lakeland senior Zander Smith displayed his quarterback skills, passing for 199 yards and one touchdown in the Dreadnaughts’ 21-20 victory over Buchholz. For the season, he showcased his exceptional talent by completing 134 of 196 passes for 1,877 yards and 22 touchdowns, with just four interceptions.

5 Mulberry senior Vic Mayen proved to be a standout player in boys’ soccer, scoring four goals and providing three assists in three matches, including both goals in a 2-1 victory over Lake Wales. His total tally for the season is an impressive eight goals and three assists.

6 Lake Gibson junior Sebastian Esteva Urdaneta showed his prowess in boys’ soccer by scoring two goals in a 3-0 win over Lakeland, bringing his season total to an impressive six goals and one assist.

7 Frostproof seventh-grader Helena Rodriguez excelled in girls’ soccer, scoring three goals and contributing one assist, finishing the week with four goals and two assists. Her exceptional performance brought her total for the season to 10 goals and two assists.

8 Winter Haven senior Jordyn Frazier made significant contributions in girls’ soccer, scoring four goals and adding two assists in a week where the Blue Devils secured two victories out of three matches. For the season, she has accumulated seven goals and four assists.

9 Santa Fe Catholic junior Tate Darner demonstrated his skill and talent in boys’ basketball, scoring 22 points and adding four assists and four steals in the Crimson Hawks’ victory over Lake Gibson.

10 Bartow senior Daniel Thompson displayed his basketball prowess by scoring a season-high 28 points in the Yellow Jackets’ victory over Lake Region.
