Jimmies men’s soccer ties, women’s soccer wins at Mount Marty

October 11th, Yankton, S.D. – The University of Jamestown secured their fourth tie of the season, as they played against Mount Marty University on Wednesday, October 11th, at the Lancers’ Crane-Youngworth Field. Despite the low scoring game, ending in a 1-1 tie, the match was filled with intensity and determination.

The Jimmies (2-8-4, 1-4-3) took the lead in the 18th minute when Wade McWhorter scored his third goal of the season, putting his team ahead 1-0. However, the Lancers (1-6-4, 0-5-2) showed resilience and managed to equalize in the 40th minute, thanks to Brandon Cervantes.

Both teams showcased impressive defensive skills, resulting in only three shots on goal for the Jimmies and two for the Lancers. Overall, the Lancers outshot the Jimmies 8-7.
