James Maddison makes Marco Silva joke amid Sky error after Tottenham vs Fulham

During his interview with Sky Sports, Maddison experienced some technical difficulties. When host Dave Jones asked him a question, Maddison responded, “I can actually hear Marco Silva’s interview in my ear now.”

When Jamie Carragher asked about Silva’s interview, Maddison jokingly replied, “I think he’s saying Maddison’s goal was excellent.” With three goals and five assists in just nine Premier League matches, Maddison has had an impressive start to the 2023/24 campaign.

This outstanding form has helped Tottenham maintain an unbeaten record this season, with a two-point lead over Manchester City and Arsenal, who are currently in second and third place. The team’s upcoming fixtures include an away match against Crystal Palace on Friday and a London Derby against Chelsea on Monday, November 6.

Tottenham’s victory over Fulham was the first time Maddison scored at home since joining the club in the summer. After the game, the 26-year-old expressed his relief, stating, “I’m really happy.”
