Jamal Adams, Seahawks Safety, Deletes Social Media Post Insulting Jets Reporter’s Wife: A Social Media Faux Pas

Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams allowed the game-deciding touchdown by Jake Ferguson in Thursday’s 41-35 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. To make matters worse, he made a distasteful move on social media the following day.



New York Jets beat reporter Connor Hughes expressed his reaction to the touchdown via Twitter. This prompted Adams to respond in an immature and uncalled for manner by targeting Hughes’ wife’s appearance. Although Adams eventually deleted the post, it only further displayed his lack of remorse.

There are no known underlying issues between Hughes and Adams, making this behavior incredibly immature and unwarranted. Adams’ complete lack of remorse is further evident in his response to criticism.

The response to Adam’s actions has been overwhelming.

Adams’ actions have given rise to an abject disaster from a football standpoint, and his behavior continues to be a cause of concern. His behavior on social media simply adds to the negative perception surrounding him, contrasting his own words from 2018.
