Last Sunday, the Saints had numerous opportunities to score in their 20-13 loss to the Houston Texans but faltered in the red zone, going 0-for-3. This included their final drive of the game, as reported by NBC Sports.

Despite moving the ball effectively and amassing 430 yards with an average of 5.5 yards per play, the Saints struggled to make crucial plays in critical moments.

“I was extremely disappointed. Coming off the field, I was livid and angry,” expressed Carr, as quoted by Patrick Magee of nola.com. “As an offense, we failed to execute the necessary details. I won’t disclose the specifics, but we are fully aware of our mistakes.”

Carr emphasized the significance of attention to detail, stating that if they had executed properly, they could have potentially scored 28 points. Rather than being concerned about individual statistics, Carr’s primary focus is on winning.

During the game, Carr completed 32 of his 50 pass attempts, accumulating 353 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. This was his highest yardage total since joining the Saints this season.

However, Carr’s attention has already shifted to the upcoming matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night.

“What matters to me is winning football games,” Carr affirmed. “If we consistently fail to execute the details, particularly in crucial moments, we will continue to experience this sense of disappointment.”
