Joshua Strong, the starting point guard for the Howard men’s basketball team, is a unique individual who defies all odds. Working out alone before the team’s basketball practice, Joshua Strong is known for his determination and perseverance.

Strong’s father, Paul, recalls how his son has always been tenacious and resolute in his convictions. Despite being called by the wrong name around campus, Joshua, not Josh, has always stood his ground, living up to his unique name that was carefully chosen for him by his parents, who named him after the inspiring biblical figure, Joshua.
