The Wisconsin Badgers dominated Western Illinois with a 71-49 victory, led by Steven Crowl’s 13 points and 11 rebounds. Wisconsin (5-2) secured its fourth straight win, showcasing an impressive 53% shooting from the floor and 81% from the free-throw line against Western Illinois (2-5). AJ Storr and Chucky Hepburn also delivered 13 points each, while Tyler Wahl added 12 to the winning effort.
Western Illinois’ James Dent Jr. scored 17 points, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap as Wisconsin opened with a 19-9 run and maintained a commanding lead throughout the game. Despite the Leathernecks’ attempt to rally, they couldn’t overcome Wisconsin’s solid performance.
Next up, the Badgers will face the fourth-ranked Marquette at home on Saturday, while Western Illinois will host NAIA’s Hannibal-LaGrange on Thursday.
