The NCAA has announced that Clippd, a prominent player in the golf technology industry, will now be responsible for providing scoring and ranking services for NCAA golf. This transition comes as Clippd takes over from Spikemark after an agreed handover period.

Clippd is a comprehensive golf data platform that offers performance insights for over 100 NCAA Division I, II, and III college programs.

In recent weeks, Clippd has been working closely with Spikemark to establish the necessary infrastructure for compiling, validating, and promoting the fall 2023 results of all Division I, II, and III men’s and women’s golf competitions.

Significant progress has already been made, with Clippd successfully publishing over 75% of all Division I college golf tournaments this fall on their website. They are also in the process of validating a substantial number of additional tournaments stored in their database.

Renowned golf analytics expert Mark Broadie has been appointed as the ranking authority and is collaborating with the Clippd team to develop individual and team rankings, which will be released at the conclusion of the fall season.

NCAA Senior Vice President of Championships, Joni Comstock, expressed confidence in Clippd’s ability to tackle the technological challenges of the 2023 fall season and praised them as a valuable long-term partner. Comstock stated, “Our objective with this partnership is to provide the quality services that our student-athletes and the college golf community truly deserve.”
