TAMPA BAY — In the first period of Thursday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena, Connor Bedard delivered an incredible performance. He scored twice and provided a primary assist for three points, marking his first multi-point game in the NHL.

Bedard notched the Chicago Blackhawks‘ first goal at the 4:42 mark by outmuscling Norris Trophy-winning defenseman Victor Herman and tapping home a nifty pass by Philipp Kurashev.

Later in the period, Nick Foligno forced a turnover in the neutral zone, and Bedard connected on a 2-on-1 with Tyler Johnson, who scored his fourth goal of the season. Bedard impressed with a no-look pass, too.

With only 7.2 seconds remaining in the first period, Foligno made a beautiful sauce pass to Bedard, who outmaneuvered Jonas Johansson and scored his second goal of the period.
