Tennis-focused AI video processing company SwingVision aims to broaden its score-taking capabilities and expand into other sports following a successful $6 million Series A financing round.
Leading the investment is Authentic Ventures, with participation from tennis professionals Lindsay Davenport and Alison Riske-Amritraj. Noteworthy existing investors include former pros Andy Roddick and James Blake.

Established in 2019, SwingVision has empowered recreational tennis players to record their matches and automatically generate statistics and highlights using only their phone’s camera. Since then, the company has utilized machine-learning models to offer real-time officiating features, live-streaming, and gamification tools.
“I’m thrilled for this next phase as the team endeavours to tackle the challenge of line calling for all players, whether they are junior competitors or recreational adults,” said Roddick in a statement. “It’s going to revolutionize the game.”
With a team of 22, SwingVision plans to develop more offerings for tennis players of all levels, including tournament-grade officiating, remote coaching support, and enhanced analytics derived from the video footage they already gather.
“The data we’re collecting is incredibly valuable,” stated SwingVision CEO Swupnil Sahai. “We provide insights into shot speed, landing accuracy, and soon we’ll be able to guide players on how they should strategically play against specific opponents. It’s like having a personal coach.”
In addition, SwingVision is actively working on plans to support pickleball and padel.
