Aaron Bradshaw Injury: UK Basketball star says “It’s been hell” sitting out

The most recent injury update regarding 7-foot-2 forward Aaron Bradshaw was released on Wednesday. Bradshaw is still expected to miss another five weeks of action due to a foot fracture he sustained during the McDonald’s All-American Game in March. He underwent surgery for this injury in June.

As a result, Bradshaw has been unable to participate in Summer workouts, the GLOBL JAM Tournament in Toronto, preseason workouts, UK Pro Day, and Big Blue Madness. It is anticipated that Bradshaw will also miss the Blue-White Game and potentially the first two exhibition games of the season. This prolonged absence from the game has been frustrating for the talented player.

“It’s been an incredibly challenging time, I won’t sugarcoat it,” Bradshaw shared on Behind Kentucky Basketball podcast. “I’ve had to overcome numerous obstacles.”

With the prospect of returning to action in just five weeks, Bradshaw is prepared to do whatever it takes to secure victory for the Kentucky Wildcats and bring home the ninth championship.

“My sole focus is on winning. I’ll give my all – rebounding, shot-blocking, shooting, boxing out – I’ll do whatever necessary to win the game,” Bradshaw expressed during an SEC Network broadcast.

A crucial factor for success this year lies in the team’s camaraderie, which has strengthened significantly during the offseason. This is one reason why Bradshaw is eagerly looking forward to taking the court with his teammates.

“We have amazing team chemistry. We bond exceptionally well and complement each other’s play. Everyone on the team is committed to collective success,” Bradshaw emphasized.

Although it may still be some time until Bradshaw and Ugonna Onyenso share the court, Kentucky can rely on the presence of two impactful big men, Tre Mitchell and Zvonimir Ivisic, to begin the season.
