CeeDee Lamb makes NFL history: I’m the top receiver in the game without question

Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has made history in the NFL by achieving double-digit catches for at least 150 receiving yards in three consecutive games. He continues to impress with his exceptional performance, having tallied 11 receptions for 173 yards and a touchdown in the latest game, following his remarkable 11 receptions for 191 yards against the Eagles and 12 catches for 158 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams in the previous weeks.

When asked if he was in a zone, Lamb confidently replied, “Absolutely, and it’s not stopping.”

So far this season, Lamb has a total of 68 receptions for 997 yards and four receiving touchdowns, showcasing four consecutive 100-yard games. This outstanding achievement puts him in the elite company of Michael Irvin and Terrell Owens as the only players in team history to accomplish such a feat.

It is remarkable to note that only five other receivers in NFL history have managed to achieve three consecutive 150-yard games.

In a bold statement, Lamb expressed his belief in his abilities, stating, “I’m the top receiver in this game, and it’s no question about it. If there is, I’ll see you all again next week.” Despite the challenges, he also scored a rushing touchdown, solidifying his versatility and impact on the field.

Lamb’s early-season performance was underwhelming, with only 27 receptions for 358 yards and one touchdown in the first five games. This led him to call for more opportunities, and the past four games have seen a significant improvement, with 41 receptions for 639 yards and three touchdowns.

Reflecting on his recent performance, Lamb mentioned, “They’re definitely trying to double me, but Mike [McCarthy] is doing a great job of moving me around, keeping me in motion, lining me up on the outside, so defenses can’t really get a bead.” This strategic approach has undoubtedly contributed to Lamb’s success.

Looking ahead, the Cowboys are set to play the Panthers on Sunday, providing Lamb with another opportunity to shine and extend his impressive streak.
