2024 NHL Draft ranking: Top 64 prospects led by Celebrini, Eiserman, Levshunov

Welcome to my latest ranking of the top 64 prospects eligible for the 2024 NHL Draft. This is the third of seven rankings for the upcoming draft, featuring a brand new design and user interface that has allowed for comprehensive scouting reports on all 64 prospects for the first time this early in the season. This follows my preseason top 32 and way-too-early top 24, and will be followed by my midseason top 64, a March top 64, an updated top 32 post-U18 worlds, and my final top 100.

The 2024 class, predominantly made up of 2006-born players, is notable for its depth and quality of defensemen. A remarkable 10 of the top 20 prospects are defensemen, signaling a significant shift from the 2023 NHL Draft. In comparison, only four defensemen from the 2023 draft were even considered for the top 20.

The ranking is now completely sortable and broken down into tiers to illustrate the fluidity within groupings and the drop-offs between them. The six tiers are: 1, 2-4, 5-8, 9-27, 28-55, and 56-64+. Additionally, there are 35 honorable mentions listed alphabetically.

It’s important to note that while I consult various sources in building my draft rankings, the following evaluations are strictly my own.
