Katarina Zavatska fought hard to reach the second round in Monastir, defeating Despina Papamichail in a grueling three-set match and triumphing over Nikola Kostic and Jessica Bouzas Maneiro to secure a place in the main draw. Now, she faces another Spanish opponent in Nuria Parrizas Diaz. Parrizas Diaz enters the match with confidence after defeating Magdalena Frech in her opener and should possess enough skill to overcome the Ukrainian.

Although Tsurenko is the favorite due to her experience and impressive performance in the first round against Chloe Pacquet, Liu also displayed her skills by defeating Emina Bektas 6-2 7-6. While Liu may be narrowing the gap, it’s difficult not to favor Tsurenko at this stage of their careers.
