The Grant Thornton Invitational Field is Complete

The 32-player field for the Grant Thornton Invitational, the inaugural mixed-team event set for this December in Naples, is now complete.

The final 10 teams announced on Wednesday include some exciting pairings, such as Charley Hull and Justin Rose, Megan Khang and Denny McCarthy, Celine Boutier and Harris English, Andrea Lee and Billy Horschel, Mel Reid and Russell Henley, Cheyenne Knight and Tom Hoge, Madelene Sagstrom and Ludvig Aberg, Allisen Corpuz and Cameron Champ, Ruoning Yin and Nick Taylor, and Leona Maguire and Lucas Glover.

These 10 pairings will join the six previously committed teams, which include top golfers like Nelly Korda and Tony Finau, Lexi Thompson and Rickie Fowler, Lydia Ko and Jason Day, Rose Zhang and Sahith Theegala, Lilia Vu and Joel Dahmen, and Corey Conners and Brooke Henderson.

The field features 24 of the world’s top 50 ranked PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour golfers, with a total of 141 career victories. Among them are 11 major champions, including all five major winners from the 2023 LPGA season.

“Interest from professionals on both tours was incredibly strong, and we are thrilled with the compelling mixed teams and world-class players heading to Naples this December,” said Grant Thornton tournament director Rob Hartman. “These final 10 teams are comprised of many of the game’s rising stars, current year LPGA Tour and PGA TOUR winners, and members of both the 2023 Solheim Cup and Ryder Cup teams. Tournament partners, fans, and our global television audience are sure to enjoy an exciting and unique three days of competition.”

The 16 mixed teams, evenly comprised of PGA and LPGA players, will compete for a $4 million purse. The three-day tournament, which will consist of three distinct playing formats in scramble, foursome, and modified four-ball, is set for Dec. 8-10 at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples and will be televised by NBC and Golf Channel.
