Azzi Fudd prioritizes her future, opting to delay her entry into the WNBA.
The talented Uconn Huskies guard has faced numerous injuries throughout her college career. During her first year, she missed 11 games due to a persistent foot issue. In her sophomore season, she was sidelined for 22 games due to knee injuries.
In a recently shared video clip, Rebecca Lobo, former WNBA star turned ESPN basketball analyst and reporter, questioned Fudd about her plans after the 2023-2024 season.

“I intend to stay,” Fudd confidently declared. “Why would I want to leave the basketball capital of the world?”
Despite meeting the eligibility criteria for the WNBA draft at 22, Fudd has chosen to continue her journey with UConn. This decision allows her valuable time to focus on her physical well-being and skill development. Additionally, Fudd is poised to be a top pick in 2025 and can leverage her existing NIL deals in the meantime.
Furthermore, with five Final Four appearances since 2017, Fudd has the opportunity to add more awards to her collection before embarking on her WNBA career.
