BKFC president David Feldman isn’t sold on the idea of Luke Rockhold transitioning to bareknuckle boxing.
Rockhold entered the BKFC scene this past April, facing off against fellow UFC alum Mike Perry at BKFC 41. However, after losing a tooth in the second round and ultimately losing the bout by TKO, Feldman feels Rockhold might not be a good fit for BKFC.
Feldman confirmed that Rockhold has one fight left on his contract, but there are no plans to schedule another match for him. According to Feldman, Rockhold lacks the grit and determination needed to thrive in BKFC.
It seems that Rockhold’s future in BKFC is uncertain as he has shown interest in transitioning to Karate Combat following a guest appearance on one of their recent shows.
Lauding Rockhold’s achievements in MMA, Feldman clarified that while Rockhold is a formidable fighter, his style may not be well-suited for bareknuckle fighting.
