The 2023 PFL 8 is taking place at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. Larissa Pacheco, who upset two-time winner Kayla Harrison to win $1 million in the women’s lightweight final in 2022, is aiming to become the first two-division season winner in PFL history. Pacheco defeated Olena Kolesnyk in the semifinals and is now set to take on Marina Mokhnatkina, who is her opponent in the final. Mokhnatkina went 2-0 in the regular season and beat Amber Leibrock to reach the final.
Another exciting matchup at the PFL Championship is the featherweight final between Jesus Pinedo and Gabriel Braga. Pinedo, who upset top-seeded Bubba Jenkins, will be facing the undefeated Braga in the quest for $1 million.
In the lightweight final, Clay Collard faces Olivier Aubin-Mercier, while Magomed Magomedkerimov will compete against 2022 winner Sadibou Sy in the welterweight division, and Josh Silveira meets Impa Kasanganay in the light heavyweight final. The heavyweight final will see Denis Goltsov against Renan Ferreira.
The remaining fight card includes battles between Kayla Harrison and Aspen Ladd in the 150-pound contract weight division, and Derek Brunson versus Ray Cooper III. The event also features preliminary fights with talented fighters such as Phil Caracappa and Khai Wu.
