However, things have taken a different turn this year.
The Tar Heels have undergone a significant roster overhaul, losing some key players to the transfer portal while also bringing in new talents. With a fresh-faced team under the guidance of Hubert Davis, the Tar Heels present a new lineup but are still considered one of the top teams in the ACC.
Following the 2023 ACC Tipoff event this week, the media revealed their predictions for the upcoming season. The Tar Heels secured a respectable third place in the rankings, trailing only Duke and Miami.
