During the late hours of Thursday, White Sox general manager Chris Getz made a significant move while everyone in or around the Chicagoland area was sleeping.
He traded left-handed reliever Aaron Bummer for a total of five players. From the Atlanta Braves, the White Sox acquired Illinois natives Nicky Lopez and Riley Gowens, as well as Mike Soroka, Jared Shuster, and Braden Shewmake in exchange for Bummer.
