Week 11 AP Poll sees little movement in the top ten

The path to the College Football Playoffs becomes clearer each week for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Despite losing a home game in Week 2 to the Texas Longhorns, the Tide have been unstoppable, winning seven consecutive games and showing continuous improvement. Their recent victory over the LSU Tigers solidifies their hold on the SEC West division.

Many believed that Alabama’s national championship hopes were dashed after their Week 2 loss. However, with upcoming road games against Kentucky and Auburn, all eyes are on the potential SEC Championship Game matchup against Georgia. A 12-1 record plus a conference championship would make it nearly impossible to exclude Alabama from the final four playoff bracket, especially considering their lone loss occurred three months prior to the selection day.

The Week 11 AP Poll witnessed minimal changes within the top ten rankings, with Oklahoma being the only team to suffer a loss; they were ranked No. 10 before the weekend. Meanwhile, Alabama will retain their No. 8 ranking heading into the next round, having successfully avoided any defeats.

Alabama has faced a challenging schedule thus far, with their only loss coming against the No. 7 ranked Texas team. Led by Nick Saban, the Crimson Tide have secured impressive victories against No. 10 Ole Miss, No. 14 Tennessee, and No. 18 LSU.
