Warriors proving they’re not among NBA elite, but blueprint exists originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
The first 30 days of the 2023-24 NBA season are in the books, and the Warriors have encountered a series of challenges, from injuries and ejections to a suspension that’s still in effect.
It’s evident that the Warriors are not part of the NBA’s elite, and this fact was further emphasized with a 123-115 thrashing by the Suns at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.
Circumstances went from bad to worse when a catastrophic second quarter cemented the loss for the Warriors. Fouls, turnovers, and ejections plagued the game, ultimately leading to defeat.
Repeated fouling, compounded by a difficult second quarter, has resulted in inconsistency for the Warriors. This has allowed several key opponents to gain significant leads over Golden State in the race for elite status in the Western Conference.
Despite the challenges, there’s reason to believe in the team’s potential. The path to success involves competing together and establishing a strong, connected team.
Until the team achieves consistency, more games like this are inevitable.
