Argentina’s Emiliano Grillo credits the weather as the secret to success at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club in Japan. Grillo explains that good weather makes playing at the course enjoyable. However, on Friday, tricky conditions including strong winds made it difficult for many players in the 78-man field. Despite the challenging conditions, Grillo managed to shoot 1-over 71. Only 13 players broke par, and Ben Taylor scored 84. American Beau Hossler was unaffected by the wind and shot the low round of the day, a 65, to take the lead at 7-under 133. Justin Suh also had a great round, shooting 4-under 66, putting him one stroke behind Hossler. Defending champion Keegan Bradley shot even-par 70, and Satoshi Kodaira leads the Japanese contingent in third place at 2-under 68.
