A’ja Wilson missed seeing Usher at the Las Vegas Aces’ WNBA championship parade, but there may be a chance for them to meet soon.
Wilson sent out several invitations to the eight-time Grammy Award winner, but unfortunately, Usher couldn’t attend the parade. However, he responded on social media, expressing his regret and inviting Wilson to his show.
“Shoutout to the defending champs, the Vegas Aces. A’ja Wilson, I got your message, I see you, I hear you,” Usher said in a video. “Couldn’t be at the parade but wanted to send this out to you to say congratulations to you and all the lovely ladies that once again did it again.”
CONGRATULATIONS @LVAces 👏🏾 @_ajawilson22 I wish I could’ve been there, but pull up to my show…I got U. https://t.co/FQuvt1gOPl pic.twitter.com/4aZKYfeyuz
Usher further extended an invitation to Wilson and the entire Aces squad to attend his “My Way” Las Vegas residency show.
“I wanted to invite you to come see the show, come see me do it my way here in Vegas,” he said. “We stick together, we love one another. Congratulations on this day and I’ll see you soon.”
Sydney Colson later shared on social media that Wilson had invited the team to see Usher, but she realized from the video that it was only Wilson who had been invited. Wilson jokingly responded to the comment.
A’ja hit us in the group chat talkin bout WE are invited to go see Usher, but now that I’m seeing the video…SHE was invited. Which is cool, that’s fine! But why lie to ur teammates? 💔
