Unveiling the Anticipated 2023-24 Wolfpack Season: An Energizing Preview

NC State basketball is ready to kick off another season with hopes of securing a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Kevin Keatts has successfully led the Wolfpack to the tournament in the past, and they aim to replicate that success in the upcoming 2023-24 season. Despite facing some skepticism, Keatts guided his team to a 23-11 overall record and a 12-8 record in ACC play last season. The Wolfpack finished sixth in the conference and earned an at-large bid, although their tournament run was cut short by Creighton in the first round as an 11-seed.

The return of standout players Casey Morsell and D.J. Burns brings excitement to the Wolfpack. Additionally, L.J. Thomas and Breon Pass have the potential to take on larger roles in the backcourt, while Ernest Ross could emerge as a breakout player in the frontcourt off the bench.

Depth will not be a concern for the Wolfpack this season. With additions from the transfer portal and their 2023 recruiting class, the team has ample opportunities to grow and improve, particularly in the frontcourt led by D.J. Burns. Ben Middlebrooks, who previously played for Clemson, will contribute with his versatile 6-foot-10 frame. Another promising player, Mohamed Diarra, is expected to make significant progress after his time at Missouri. In total, seven new players will join the team from the transfer portal.
