The Vegas Golden Knights celebrated their victory in the 2023 Stanley Cup by receiving their championship rings in a grand ceremony on Sunday night.
The ring ceremony took place at the prestigious Wynn Las Vegas, where players, coaches, and staff of the Golden Knights were presented with their well-deserved accolades.
Designed in collaboration with Jason of Beverly Hills, renowned for their craftsmanship in creating championship rings for esteemed teams like the NBA’s Golden State Warriors and the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, among others.
“With Jason of Beverly Hills’ impressive track record, I anticipated a ring that would reflect the uniqueness of our city and the extraordinary season this team has had,” said Bill Foley, owner of the Golden Knights. “They have not only met but exceeded expectations by creating a design that our players, staff, and fans will undoubtedly treasure.”
True to the vibrant spirit of Las Vegas, the rings boast a lavish and extravagant appearance. They feature a detachable top that can be worn as a pendant, adorned with the phrase “It’s Knight Time” on the reverse side. Removing the top reveals a stunning replica of the team’s home rink, T-Mobile Arena, complete with the center ice logo from the 2023 Stanley Cup Final. Furthermore, small stars mark the locations where the team scored their nine goals in the Cup-clinching Game 5 against the Panthers.
The rings are encrusted with approximately 12 carats of white and yellow diamonds. Notably, the primary logo of the Knights is embellished with 67 white diamonds, signifying the team’s total wins in the regular season and playoffs. The inner bezel showcases 32 diamonds, representing each of the NHL’s 32 teams. Additionally, 0.54 carats of diamonds are dedicated to the Stanley Cup, representing the Golden Knights’ 54 historic playoff victories.
On the side of the ring, six stones encircle the diamond-studded Stanley Cup, symbolizing the team’s six seasons since joining the NHL as an expansion franchise in 2017-18.
The chosen diamond arrangement forms a star shape, reminiscent of the “Vegas Strong” banner displayed in 2017 to honor the victims of the Route 91 Harvest music festival shooting on the Las Vegas Strip. The Golden Knights have continually paid tribute to this tragedy, which took place on October 1, 2017, throughout their NHL journey. They commemorated the victims and first responders during their first home game on October 10, 2017.
The team’s slogans, “Vegas Born” and “Always Advance,” are engraved on both sides of the ring, accompanied by a captivating depiction of the Las Vegas skyline.
Nestled inside the band, another team slogan can be found: “Cup in Six,” a direct reference to the bold prediction made by Foley before the Golden Knights debuted as an expansion team—an audacious proclamation that came true as they won the Stanley Cup after just six seasons.
The Golden Knights are producing 50 rings for public release, nearly identical to those awarded to the players. These limited edition rings will be available for purchase at $75,000 each.
The team will raise their 2023 Stanley Cup championship banner on Tuesday during their game against the Seattle Kraken (to be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+).
