Ultiworld is thrilled to unveil our annual Club Awards, acknowledging the finest athletes in the sport. While we evaluate regular season and postseason performance, we prioritize success in the Series and at Nationals due to the unique nature of the Club division. Voted on by Ultiworld reporters, contributors, and editors, our Club Awards are highly prestigious.
Our Breakout Player of the Year award is undoubtedly one of the most challenging to define. We recognize players aged 25 and under who weren’t expected to have a major impact on the club season at the start of the year, yet surpassed all expectations. Our voters are encouraged to determine who best embodied the ideal breakout season in the club division.
The Awards include:
– Player of the Year Award
– All-Club First Team
– All-Club Second Team
– Defensive Player of the Year Award
– Offensive Player of the Year Award
– Breakout Player of the Year Award
– Coach(es) of the Year Award
– Club Awards Voting Breakdown

2023 Mixed Division Breakout Player of the Year
Rory Veldman (Fort Collins shame.)
A debutant in the mixed club scene, Rory Veldman played a key role in Fort Collins shame.’s journey to a championship. Able to make timely plays that the team needed, Veldman consistently found a way to meet the moment. She was versatile, effective both as a downfield playmaker and a backfield distributor. Veldman’s ability to play both ways is a testament to her skill and speaks to the trust her team had in her to make the right plays at the right time. By doing the little things right, she created opportunities for big plays and put her team in the best position to succeed.
First Runner-up
Jolie Krebs (New York XIST)
Making quite the impact on New York XIST’s O-line in her first year on the team, Krebs was crucial in generating turnovers and making high-IQ throws. Flying under the radar, she was able to make big contributions and plays due to the opponent’s focus on her equally powerful teammates. Her performances on the field produced enough energy to drive her team to success.
Second Runner-up
Ben Field (Boston Slow)
Joining Boston Slow after experiencing success in the college division, Ben Field quickly became an impact player in the mixed division. Excelling as a cutter in isolation, Field transitioned into one of the division’s best pullers by the time Nationals rolled around. With ample potential for further growth, Field is poised to develop into one of the division’s best players.
