Ultiworld Club Awards 2023: All-Club Second Team (Men’s Div.)

On November 8, 2023, our dear colleagues Edward Stephens, Jake Thorne, and Patrick Stegemoeller share some exciting updates in the world of Ultimate Frisbee Awards. Ultiworld is thrilled to unveil our annual Club Awards, beginning with the Club Player of the Year in each division. As we peer into each player’s performance, we emphasize the series and Nationals, upholding them above all else for the Club division’s nature. We’re bursting with excitement to share that the recipients are decided through voting from Ultiworld reporters, contributors, and editors.

Our Club Awards feature an All-Club team, revealing the cream of the crop in the division. The First Team and Second Team showcase the top seven and next seven players who significantly impacted the season. Throughout our structured voting process, the top vote-getters for All-Club honors take center stage as our highest individual award recipients.

In the Men’s All-Club Second Team, San Francisco Revolver’s Adam Rees, Washington DC Truck Stop’s Tyler Monroe, Rowan McDonnell, Jonny Malks, Boston DiG’s Mac Hecht, Chicago Machine’s Nate Goff, and Denver Johnny Bravo’s Quinn Finer have been announced.

The details of their achievements are beyond mesmerizing:

– Adam Rees’ all-around performance kept the Revolver offense in top form, thanks to his ability to absorb every team’s ace defender.
– Tyler Monroe’s impactful presence on the field brought much-needed physicality and grit to DC’s offense without compromising throwing abilities.
– Rowan McDonnell surely proved that he still has it, leading the team in assists and executing challenging shots.
– Jonny Malks scaled up Truck Stop’s offensive strategies, creating chaos and confusion for defenses without losing sight of the team’s mission.
– Mac Hecht’s hooper skills shone through his excellent play in the center handler position, regularly boggling defenders with his crafty handler cutting patterns.
– Nate Goff was the Machine’s missing link, effectively contributing towards a dynamic and versatile offense.
– Quinn Finer was a consistent force in Johnny Bravo’s offense, embracing significant responsibilities and being the team’s rock all summer.

Overall, the club awards highlight the exceptional talent and dedication of these players. Stay tuned for more updates!
