UFC 295 is around the corner, and Loopy Godinez is set for a quick turnaround at the event. Godinez is scheduled to face Tabatha Ricci at Madison Square Garden in New York this Saturday. The main card will be live on pay-per-view, while the prelims will air on ESPNews and early prelims on ESPN+.
Godinez, coming off a Performance of the Night submission of Elise Reed in September, is about to make her fourth UFC appearance this year, less than two months after her last fight. In a recent news conference, Godinez expressed her confidence in her ability to keep up the fast pace. She mentioned, “For me to just come back here – ‘OK, see you tomorrow’ – it’s really easy for me to do those type of things.” Godinez added, “I don’t know what it is. I just do it and I just go with the flow and it’s easy. I don’t feel overwhelmed at all. I enjoy the process. I love all this. I love to talk to you guys.”
Ricci has been on a winning streak as well, with four consecutive victories. Godinez is anticipating an exciting fight against Ricci and sees their different fighting styles as an intriguing matchup. She stated, “She has great judo and great jiu-jitsu. But I have great wrestling. I have great hands. I have a lot of power. I feel it’s a great match-up for Saturday night.”
