Trae Young and Dejounte Murray deny involvement in the Atlanta Hawks’ controversial in-season tournament promotional video.
In anticipation of Atlanta’s first in-season tournament game against the Detroit Pistons, the Hawks shared an advertisement on social media with the tagline, “Only Hawks Fans know where the real action is.”
Young and Murray swiftly expressed their disapproval of the viral video:
The Hawks have started the season with a 4-3 record, largely due to the stellar performances of Young and Murray.
Young’s stats include averaging 21.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 10.4 assists in seven games, with shooting percentages of 33.6% from the floor and 27.3% from deep.
Murray, on the other hand, is averaging 22.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in seven games, with shooting percentages of 50.0% from the floor and 38.5% from deep.
Atlanta’s next games are against the Orlando Magic on Thursday and the Miami Heat on Saturday, followed by in-season tournament action.
