LSU basketball made waves in the college basketball world with their latest commitment in the 2024 recruiting class. The Tigers secured commitment from Curtis Givens III, a highly-touted four-star point guard from Memphis, Tennessee.
Givens, standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 180 pounds, is considered the nation’s fourth-best point guard by On3. Despite being heavily favored to choose his hometown team, the Memphis Tigers, Givens surprised everyone by choosing LSU.
LSU head coach Matt McMahon managed to sway Givens away from Memphis and convinced him to join the Tigers. With Givens’ commitment, LSU’s 2024 recruiting class now ranks 17th nationally and boasts two four-star players.
But the work on the recruiting trail is far from over. McMahon is determined to add more top talent to the 2024 class.
