Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Jacksonville Jaguars fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
Jaguars fans: do you have confidence in the team’s current direction?
And if you could choose a player from the Houston Texans to add to the team, who would it be?
- Offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil (three-time Pro Bowler, 29 years old)
- Offensive guard Shaq Mason (two-time Super Bowl champion, 30 years old)
- Defensive end Will Anderson Jr. (2023 no. 3 overall pick, 22 years old)
- Cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. (2022 no. 3 overall pick, 22 years old)
- Safety Jalen Pitre (2022 second-round pick, 24 years old)
Initially, I considered Laremy Tunsil, renowned as the best blindside protector in the league, but his age gave me pause. Since the Jaguars already have two starting-caliber left tackles, I ultimately voted for Will Anderson Jr. instead.
Following consecutive seasons of earning SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors and Unanimous All-American selections at Alabama, Anderson Jr. has quickly proven his worth as a rookie. He currently ranks 4th in pass rush win rate (per ESPN) and tied for 10th in quarterback hits (per PFF) among all edge defenders this year.
