Jenkins’ capacity to overpower opponents in the run game is exceptional. Combined with his emerging leadership on the offensive line, it seems he has a Pro Bowl selection in his future.
Need more evidence? What about those numbers? Through nine weeks, he ranks among the league’s top guards. The fact that he hasn’t allowed a sack this season should bring a smile to Bears fans’ faces.
The result of Jenkins not surrendering a sack is that it aids the Bears in assessing Justin Fields and Tyson Bagent at quarterback. Gone are the days when a Bears quarterback receives no support from the offensive line. Inside, Jenkins is impenetrable.
That’s not the only determining factor from the offensive line. But it’s an additional factor to consider.
All thanks to Jenkins and his unwavering aggression up front.
