Terrace Marshall Jr. won’t play against Cowboys

Shaking things up on offense, the Panthers are looking for a spark this week when they have the ball in their possession in Charlotte.

One mildly unexpected absence on this week’s inactive list is wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr., due to injuries and the number of players in other positions.

With Laviska Shenault Jr. returning after missing three games with an ankle injury and Mike Strachan being elevated after a standout performance, the Panthers have opted to explore other options instead of keeping Marshall up as a seventh receiver.

Rookie backup offensive linemen Ricky Lee and Nash Jensen are also on the inactive list, joining the three players already declared out due to injury.

That includes tight end Hayden Hurst, cornerback CJ Henderson, and outside linebacker Marquis Haynes Sr.

With Henderson out and Jaycee Horn yet to be activated, the Panthers will start Dicaprio Bootle at cornerback opposite Donte Jackson.

Additionally, linebacker Tae Davis has been activated this week to provide special teams depth.

The complete inactive list for this week is as follows: CB CJ Henderson, OT Ricky Lee, OG Nash Jensen, TE Hayden Hurst, WR Terrace Marshall Jr, OLB Marquis Haynes.
