As the individual champion of Section 7-1A, Vanderweyst (21-8) delivered a remarkable performance against her first state opponent, senior Catherine Kehoe from Morris/West Central, defeating her in two sets with scores of 6-1 and 6-2. However, Vanderweyst faced a tough challenge in the quarterfinals against Leah Maddock of Osakis, a sophomore who had an impressive record of 32-4 this season and ended up as the state tournament runner-up. Breck senior Isabelle Einess (24-0) dominated the entire tournament without losing a single game, securing the individual championship. Vanderweyst managed to win three games in her first set against Maddock and two in the second.

In her third state appearance, Tarrolly unfortunately fell in the first round of the consolation bracket to Aisha Atayeva from Chaska, losing with scores of 6-3 and 6-2. Despite this setback, Tarrolly concluded the season with a remarkable record of 26-8 and a Section 8-2A individual championship. Tarrolly’s state journey began against Edina’s Rashi Singh, who defeated her in two sets with scores of 6-2 and 6-1. Singh (24-8) was later eliminated in the quarterfinals.
