The 49ers’ dominant victory over the Philadelphia Eagles has thrust them back into contention for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
San Francisco’s 42-19 victory left little doubt about their abilities. The slow start on both sides of the ball was overcome, and the 49ers’ dominance was on display.
“I loved how excited and ready our team was for this game,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said. “It’s huge when you are that amped-up and ready to go against such a strong team as the Eagles.”
Shanahan, however, recognizes areas with room for improvement, despite their stellar performance against a team with the best record in the NFL.
The Eagles drop to 10-2 on the season, while the 49ers’ fourth consecutive victory improves their record to 9-3.
Here are the grades from the 49ers’ impressive Week 13 victory:

Grade: A
Overall
Despite a rocky start for the 49ers’ offense, the team ended up completely dominating the Eagles. The team’s potential for further improvement remains, and after a three-game skid, the 49ers have consistently taken steps forward to become a formidable force.
