Suniel Shetty has never shied away from expressing his love for KL Rahul ever since the cricketer married his daughter Athiya Shetty on January 23, this year. The actor has always stated that he considers KL Rahul as his own son and admires him for his down-to-earth nature. However, when it comes to his favorite cricketer, Suniel has a different choice.
During a recent conversation with Niharika NM at Money Control’s Creator Economy Summit, Suniel was asked to name his favorite cricketer. He replied, “In today’s time, my favorite cricketer is definitely Virat Kohli.
Niharika, taken aback by his answer, playfully teased KL Rahul saying, “Man, KL, better luck next time.” Suniel responded, “KL is my son, you know, when it’s family, you don’t talk about family.”
Niharika then asked, “What about Ahan?” Suniel replied, “He’s family too, but he’s an actor, not a cricketer. My favorite cricketer is Virat Kohli because he’s a master of chasing. That’s the first time you feel at home when ‘dhak dhak’ isn’t happening.”

A few days ago, Suniel shared a new picture with his son-in-law KL Rahul. The picture showed the actor hugging and twinning with KL Rahul in a black t-shirt. Their friends and fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons. Athiya also dropped a red heart emoticon.
On the work front, Suniel will next be seen in the comedy film Welcome To The Jungle alongside Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Raveena Tandon. KL Rahul, on the other hand, is currently a part of the Indian Cricket World Cup 2023 team.
