Trade rumors: Suitor emerges for White Sox pitcher Dylan Cease originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
The Chicago White Sox are reportedly open to offers for virtually their entire roster (with one exception), but there’s a contender seeking the services of pitcher Dylan Cease.
Latest updates from USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reveal that the White Sox are in negotiations with the Los Angeles Dodgers for a trade involving Cease.
According to Nightengale, “The Dodgers badly need pitching help, and the White Sox badly need to rebuild their roster.”
Cease, who had a down year in 2023, still has two years of team control remaining, and free agency looming after the 2025 season, according to Spotrac.
The White Sox and Dodgers have a recent history of trade partnerships, and it remains to be seen what kind of return the White Sox would get for Cease if the trade goes through.
Rumors could intensify in the winter meetings in Nashville in December.
